It’s Friday, and I’m ready for it to be Friday.
As such? My attention span is about this <—–> long.
So, some random thoughts for a short attention span Friday:
- Long Board is on vacation at a Bachelor Party. I met the Bachelor last Friday night and another one of the guys going – super nice guys. And LB is a real stand-up guy, so when I heard “Bachelor Party” I never pictured half-naked girls or anything out of control. A friend made the comment, “Yeah, but even the most decent boys will be boys….” Yes, they will. And my decent boy? Called to check in last night during the middle of a wild and outrageous Bachelor Party Rock Band Tournament. Have fun babe!
- My Colts are undefeated
It better stay that way this week.
- I’m lame, and when asked what I was doing last night, I actually replied, “I’m going to a wedding.” (Though I was able to restrain myself from signing the guest book). Because I was that excited about Pam and Jim getting married on The Office. I would very much like to be the Pam to someone’s Jim. And I’m pathetic because I use them as a realistic couple to which I aspire to be. Which they’re not. Which I have to say to remind myself of the fact.
- Baby Sis is running a half-marathon this weekend. I can only run to the corner. And even then, only if I’m being chased. I really hate running….
- I hope that “Couples Retreat” is funny. ETA: It’s funny. Not hysterical, not as funny as I wanted it to be, but it’s got it’s moments. BUT, word of warning – it’s got some serious moments dealing with emotions related to infertility that came out of nowhere (at least that you wouldn’t necessarily expect from the previews).
- I’m very much looking forward to a lazy weekend (not that I don’t LOVE my weekends when LB is in town! But we hadn’t been together in so long that we had lots of activities planned, people to visit, and I only got to be nerdy and read when he was napping
…plus I have a bye this week for college football which helps) so I can hunker down with “The Girl Who Played With Fire” and finally finish it!!! Then hopefully go to the library and pick up some more books – I miss reading!! Might have to start taking the train to work again so that I get at least a couple focused reading days in a week…..
- And now, I turn off the computer, embrace the weekend on which I Should Really NOT Be Working, and look forward to raiding my parents Tivo (MUST CATCH UP ON MAD MEN!!!) while waiting for Baby Sis to come home and for us to go and find out if “Couples Retreat” does or does not suck. I’ll let you know…
I am now accepting nominations and awards for most boring post of all time. Thank you.

J & P’s wedding made me cry it was so sweet. I just love them and wish them the very best! (Yes, I know they’re not real people…but still so sweet together!)
Have a great, lazy weekend!
