Deserving It’s Own Post

I was going to edit the last post and tack this on. But that’s not good enough.

I saw him.

He was riding his bike up to the gym again, the same time as the last time I saw him, as I was leaving – again.

I could see him from when I was still inside the gyms tinted windows. He was far away and I’ve got some pretty poor vision, but I just knew.

He was hauling ass to the door and when he saw me I was mush. He looked happy and excited and I hope I looked the same way back at him. Because he deserves to be looked at the way he looked at me. I could have just died.

We were heading directly towards each other so avoidance wouldn’t have been an option had I wanted to go there. Luckily, there was no desire to flee this time. Instead he leaned off his bike, gave me the hug I’ve been unknowlingly waiting years for, and we just kind of looked at each other.

My co-worker stood there watching. Finally I introduced her. We exchanged a few words and left it at that.

But I know, I think we both know, it won’t be the last time we “bump” into each other.

  1. Obviously, you can’t see me, but I am smiling all over my face right now.

    Waiting for the next chapter.

  2. Obviously you can’t see me either, but I guarantee you all I look like a complete fool with my goofy grin.

I’m waiting for the next chapter too :) And I won’t leave out a detail – promise!

  3. Hey, girl, Ive been reading the past few posts, and am wondering WHAT IS THE DEAL with all these men in your life?? Even at my most hot, which I can guarantee was probably never, I did not attract such attention. Granted you are gorgeous and smart and all…I’m just crackin’ up at all your stories (and what about Jack??)

Okay, anyway, I digress. As I’ve been reading, I’ve been thinking about what you said about needing someone from BEFORE and AFTER who knows what’s what. And of course, it went straight to TV. Do you watch Lost? YOu know how the losties need a “constant” who knew them from before so it helps their head not explode in the “after?” This bicycle/gym guy is your constant. YOu need him so your head doesn’t explode I just know it. ;)

  4. BTW, if you don’t watch Lost, then you probably think I’m CRAZY…so if anyone wants to help me out, feel free!

  5. haha, believe me Em, I have NO IDEA how I pull some of these guys! And I don’t watch Lost, but I know you’re not crazy too :) I get what you’re saying even though I’m not an avid watcher!

And Jack and his roomie and I are actually heading out right now! We’ve found a really good balance and have done the friend thing really well the past couple of months. It’s working out for all of us and I think we’re pretty comfortable even with the weird-ish “history” of sorts that we have. It’s all good in our hood.

But I think you’re absolutely right. J (gym guy) he’s my constant <3
